About

I'm Floyd Sally Jr., and I work in IT as a Senior Analyst. Outside of work, I run FSJ-LAB: a two-node Proxmox cluster, a Cisco and FortiGate network, and about a dozen self-hosted services, all completely cut off from the internet.

The lab exists because reading about infrastructure isn't the same as running it. Here I can design a network, break it, find out why, and fix it, without a production outage on the line. Keeping it air-gapped makes every build harder in a useful way: nothing installs itself, so I have to understand what each system actually needs.

This site is my portfolio of that work. Each project is a real build, written up with the problems I hit and what I learned, so you can see how I think and troubleshoot, not just which tools I've used.

Skills, with the work behind them

Every skill links to the project where I used it.

How this site was built

I built this portfolio from scratch with Astro, Tailwind CSS, and MDX, and it costs nothing to host. The full write-up covers why I chose that stack, the setup problems I worked through, and how I keep sensitive lab details off a public site.
